DiamFab

Revolutionizing the semiconductor industry with synthetic diamond. Diamfab uses the unique physical characteristics of diamond to replace materials such as silicon in semiconductors, with far better performance: lower energy losses, smaller system footprints and reduced environmental pollution. A technology at the heart of both the energy transition and Europe's strategic independence. Asterion co-led Diamfab's first round of financing with Bpifrance in March 2024.

Gauthier and Khaled are creating the next generation of semiconductors using synthetic diamonds. It's a pioneering, ambitious and disruptive project, which will enable considerable energy savings in its application. I've been a member of their Advisory Board for the past 3 years, so I invested in this funding round. I value their project, of course, but also their open-mindedness and willingness to listen to the best advice, their human approach to help their team grow, their ambition coupled with a very pragmatic spirit. And I'm honored to now be part of their board.
